This past weekend on November 18th, members of the Effervescent Collective led by choreographer and dancer Lynne Price, teamed up with the Baltimore Composers Forum for an AMAZING program at the Theatre Project in Baltimore. Besides my work, compositions by Garth Baxter, Jin-Hwa Choi, Ljiljana Jovanović, Ariyo Shahry and George Spicka were sensitively interpreted by extremely innovative and expressive choreographies. I am very proud to have been part of such an incredible experience, and many thanks to Ljiljana Jovanović and Lynne Price for all of their hard work in organizing this event, and to the dancers Rachel Boss, Brittany Grant, Clarissa Gregory, Melissa Talleda, Erin Reid and Lily Susskind for their incredible and sensitive performances. It is rare that there is an audience at an event like this that "gets it". There was a real spiritual and avant-garde intensity throughout the evening's performances that seemed to consistently mesmerize everyone in the theater. I have included the program listing below:
